GlowGuard was born from the moments that tested us—those late night, uneasy walks back to our Airbnbs during our 8-month journey through Europe and Mexico in 2023. Even with our mothers’ prayers working overtime, we often found ourselves feeling vulnerable at night, wishing we had something small yet powerful to carry with us.
That’s when the idea for GlowGuard began to take root: a personal safety device that’s reliable, easy to use, and designed to move with you, just like a trusted companion. After months of reflection and development, GlowGuard was brought to life.

Our Friendship & Personal Brand: TFE
Our journey as soul sisters and co-founders of GlowGuard began long before the company itself. We, Brenda Ruby and Rosaura, met in our early 20s through a Hispanic Business Student organization in college, both studying business at ASU and later working for competing Big 4 Accounting firms.
After college, we seemed to have achieved success but silently struggled with our own inner battles. Social media brought us back together, and a three-hour long catch-up conversation revealed our parallel experiences of hurt, worries, and heartbreak. These deep conversations led to regular meet-ups, building trust, love, and mutual respect.
Two years later, we moved in together, living in a spacious flat for a year before embarking on an 8-month adventure through Europe and Mexico. Our friendship grew stronger, becoming a pillar of strength, sisterhood, adventure, and growth. It felt like a soul-contract to help each other never forget our light.
This journey inspired The Feminine Ethos, our permission slip to ourselves and the world. We believe every woman is born to be her brightest, most authentic self, and our mission is to help you remember that.
